Good Bye Etsy

Hey folks,

I know I know…I have been very absent here! Why?! Because I put all my energy and work into my Etsy shop. Yep, that is exactly what my last post was about which is soooo long ago. December 2022! Jesus, time flies! Now it is March 2024. Well, I kinda gave myself a timeline of a bit more of a year and I decided to take down the shop by then if I don’t see the outcome that I wanted to see. And, that is obviously the case since I am writing this post here now titled ‘Good Bye Etsy’. I still think that Etsy is a fantastic platform, it is just not the right one for me to sell. I will continue to create art and thanks to Etsy I am back in the flow of creating art and designing, I am very happy about this because for a long time I did not take out time to do this, even though it makes my heart so happy. Instead I only focused on my other job that brought in my income.

I will continue to create art and to sell art, I am not just sure yet where this is going to happen. Probably on my own website and maybe another marketplace, but not Etsy since the wall art niche is so over-saturated and competitive. This will be a bit of a hobby project, nothing to make money with, but something that brings me joy and makes me happy.

So, here I am…back to blogging. Let’s see if I can manage it to get back to blogging on a frequent basis again.
